Air Quality & IVAN Air Monitoring
As identified before, the Salton Sea’s exposed playa is a source of particulate pollution in our community. As the air mitigation measures are implemented, there are tools and resources available for the community to access to inform themselves about the air quality and take action. One of these tools is IVAN Air Monitoring.
IVAN Air Monitoring is a network of 70 air monitors located throughout Imperial County. These monitors measure current levels of Particulate Matter air pollution (PM2.5 & PM10).
